How to Apply to New Horizons Academy

Ready to begin your journey with New Horizons Academy? We’re here to make the process simple and supportive. Whether you’re exploring if NHA is the right fit or already eager to enroll, follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1: Learn About NHA

Explore our website to see if our virtual program is right for your family. Still have questions? Contact us — we’re happy to help!

Step 2: Submit the NHA Enrollment Form

Once you’re ready, complete the official NHA Enrollment Form.

Step 3: Submit Homeschool Records

If your child was homeschooled in 2024–2025, please email: student’s full name, completed courses and final grades, curriculum or platforms used.

Step 4: Schedule Intake Interview

Meet virtually with an NHA team member. This helps us learn more about your child and confirm that NHA is a good fit.

Step 5: Dual Enroll with Your Home District

Your child must also be enrolled with their home public school to earn credit through NHA. Visit our district contact page for details. NHA cannot complete enrollment until this step is done.

Step 6: Get Your School Email

Ask your home district for your student’s school email and password. This login is used for everything — from coursework to district communications.

Step 7: Choose Your Courses

After your intake interview, you’ll complete the Course Interest & About Me Form to help us build your class schedule. Watch your inbox for follow-up instructions!

Returning Student Note

If your child is a returning student to New Horizons Academy, you do not need to submit homeschool documentation or complete another intake interview.

However, to continue enrollment, please complete the following each year:

  • Step 2: Submit the updated NHA Enrollment Form
  • Step 5: Re-enroll with your home district (typically via Infinite Campus)
  • Step 6: Obtain or confirm access to your school email and password
  • Step 7: Complete the Course Interest & About Me Form
